It’s the juxtaposition of two, the designer says–which he tells FTV is posterity and luxury. He goes back to his teenage years in Manchester, which were very utilitarian, somber and gray and then adds luxury which includes everything from bright sequins to draping fur coats. There’s no strong color for the John Richmon collection this season. Clothes are generally muted. Music during the show is post-Manchester and industrial sounds.
